800cr Vashi bridge lane expension work to be undertaken by Cidco, MSRDC

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (MSRDC) and Cidco , working together in the doubling of the Vashi bridge lanes brushed aside any role of MMRDA in the project.

Request for proposal submission closes on January 16 and opening will be on same date. Once the Bid is finalized the formation of the SPV would happen soon.

The new lanes would be commissioned only in 2021 because the period of construction has been pegged at 36 months. Delayed by six years with escalating cost, the project is relevant to the 16000 crore airport project of cidco and NMIAL that will be commissioned for its maiden take off within an extended deadline of early 2020.

The lane expansion would help motorists to avail a wider high-tech bridge  double the size of current bridge,

de-congest the traffic.
