Top floors in 9 buildings on shaky ground without air clearance

The fate of the top three floors of nine residential buildings in a society in Kharghar in the vicinity of the under construction NMIA hangs in the balance , with AAI yet to grant height clearance and CIDCO rules calling for their demolition.

The Bombay high court last month stayed the demolition in the 17-storey towers of Kesar Exotica in Kharghar’s sector 10 till the Airport Authority of India completes its survey on possible obstacles in the flight path for the new airport by April .

Cidco , the planning authority for Navi Mumbai , declared the top three floors of the nine buildings illegal as the builder failed to get the AAI node.
